Three Pokhara nights with one local sightseeing day and one flexible outing day. This package starts and ends in Pokhara; it does not hide a Kathmandu or India transfer inside the price.

The large seated Shiva statue is the focus of the Pumdikot religious area.+
The large seated Shiva statue is the focus of the Pumdikot religious area. The visit combines a temple setting with an outlook over the Pokhara landscape. Give worshippers room, follow the instructions at the site and take photographs considerately. It is possible to appreciate the setting without turning a temple visit into a hurried photo session.
Pumdikot and Sarangkot are different places. Choose Pumdikot when the Shiva visit is the priority; discuss Sarangkot when a sunrise viewpoint is the main aim. A package should name both separately if both are actually included.

A practical Pokhara outing
Keep a dedicated morning or afternoon for the hill visit and allow time to return to your hotel.+
Keep a dedicated morning or afternoon for the hill visit and allow time to return to your hotel. A private route can discuss the World Peace Pagoda area as another stop, but the connection, walking and available hours should be assessed before confirming a combined outing. Avoid adding a cave visit, lake activity and multiple hill stops just to lengthen the attraction list.
For a family, agree the preferred pace and a meeting point before entering. Carry drinking water, comfortable footwear and a light layer appropriate to the day. Ask how meals fit into the visit rather than assuming food will be available at the exact time your group needs it.
03
Vehicle access and the final approach
The access road and parking arrangements need checking for the vehicle you will actually use.+
The access road and parking arrangements need checking for the vehicle you will actually use. A large through vehicle is not automatically suitable for every hill approach. Ask whether a local vehicle change is required and whether it is included in the quotation.
Describe any difficulty with steps or uphill walking before booking. The drop point and the amount of walking matter more than a generic promise of “door-to-door sightseeing”. Keep a simpler Pokhara alternative available for travellers who prefer to stay near Lakeside.
04
When to visit and what to confirm
Choose daylight hours for an easier approach and check the current site arrangements when planning.+
Choose daylight hours for an easier approach and check the current site arrangements when planning. Views depend on weather; the Shiva visit can still have value when distant mountains are hidden. Give the religious purpose its own time rather than promising the same visual experience in every season.
Ask for an itemised local-excursion quote covering pickup, vehicle, waiting and any separately payable site charges. Check rescheduling and cancellation terms for the excursion, especially if it is being added to a larger Nepal package.

Put Pumdikot into a workable route
Share arrival details, available nights, adults, child ages and walking needs. Ask for a written breakdown of accommodation, transport, meals, optional visits and payment terms.
Pundikot is a spelling travellers sometimes use for Pumdikot, the Shiva statue destination near Pokhara. This page uses Pumdikot.
Is it included in the announced group tour?
It is not promised in the fixed group itinerary. Discuss a private Pokhara plan if this visit is important to you.
Can we combine it with Sarangkot?
A private planner can assess both, but they are separate hill visits. Keep enough time for transfers, walking, meals and rest.
Booking, payments & cancellation
Check your final route, service scope, rooming and payment schedule in the written quotation before payment. A destination enquiry does not reserve a room, vehicle or activity.
