Your nights, stops & travel days
How to read this route before booking
Read the overnight sequence alongside the day-wise plan. A city appearing in the route may be a visit or transfer stop rather than an additional hotel night. The detailed itinerary explains what is scheduled on each day.
Share your arrival and onward departure times before confirming. Ask which visits remain practical around your connections, where the vehicle drops you and whether local shuttles, guides or activities cost extra.
Package prices by group size
8 days / 7 nights; standard adult twin sharing, breakfast and private road transport allowance; six adults for headline. Tickets, guiding, taxes and final transfer scope confirmed by quotation.

| 6 adults | ₹22,999 | ₹137,994 |

| 12 adults | ₹20,999 | ₹251,988 |
What is this estimate based on?
The figures are planning allowances, not a supplier contract or a claim that another operator sells this exact itinerary. Hotel and vehicle choices, travel dates and occupancy can change the final price. Child rates, single rooms, tickets, unlisted meals and extra services are separate unless expressly included.
Research reviewed 13 October 2026: published six-day Nepal entry prices around ₹14,500–₹14,999 provide a broad market reference; eight- and twelve-day Buddhist offers vary substantially by group size and land-service scope. We use an independent provisional budget, not a copied competitor fare.

Private itinerary proposal: final services, conditions and the overnight plan are confirmed in writing.
DAY1Gorakhpur to LumbiniLumbini · Overnight stop
Meet at the agreed Gorakhpur pickup and keep originals accessible for the border. Continue to Lumbini and check in before deciding how much of the Sacred Garden to visit. An early arrival can allow a focused visit; a delayed crossing means the visit moves to the next morning. Avoid treating the full monastery zone as an afternoon add-on.
Place previews help you plan. Only visits expressly stated in your confirmed itinerary are included.
DAY2Lumbini to ChitwanChitwan · Overnight stop
Complete the agreed Lumbini visit before travelling towards the Chitwan stay. This schedule gives the birthplace visit an overnight buffer instead of attaching it to a long first-day run. On arrival, confirm the next day’s activity briefing, pickup arrangements and what is actually included. Keep the evening for rest or a short local walk.
Chitwan nature programmeGuided activity scope is confirmed; wildlife is not guaranteed.
Maya Devi Temple areaAllow time for the Sacred Garden and site entry.Place previews help you plan. Only visits expressly stated in your confirmed itinerary are included.
DAY3A full day based in ChitwanChitwan · Overnight stop
Use the day for an agreed wildlife or local cultural programme. A safari, canoe activity or guided walk needs separate availability, suitability and inclusion checks. Wildlife sightings cannot be promised. Travellers who prefer a quieter day can discuss a village introduction or relaxed time near the accommodation; independent plans need a clear return arrangement.
Place previews help you plan. Only visits expressly stated in your confirmed itinerary are included.
DAY4Chitwan to PokharaPokhara · Overnight stop
Allow a road day with comfort and meal stops before checking in at Pokhara. Keep the evening flexible. A Lakeside walk may fit after arrival, but do not prepay an activity that depends on reaching the city at a particular hour. Discuss luggage space and seating before departure rather than changing the vehicle assumption midway.
DAY5Pokhara sightseeing and lake timePokhara · Overnight stop
Choose the agreed visits around Pokhara, then keep time for a meal and the lake area. Cave visits, steps and viewpoint access need to match the travellers. Boating, sunrise excursions and adventure activities are separate unless listed in the quotation. The free time is deliberate; it should not quietly become another compulsory paid excursion.
Phewa LakeLakeside time; boating is separately confirmed.
SarangkotOptional sunrise viewpoint; views depend on weather.
PumdikotOptional hilltop Shiva visit; confirm access and transport.Place previews help you plan. Only visits expressly stated in your confirmed itinerary are included.
DAY6Pokhara to KathmanduKathmandu · Overnight stop
Use the day for the transfer and planned breaks. Confirm the Kathmandu hotel location and vehicle drop, particularly if anyone needs limited walking with luggage. Any evening temple or heritage visit should be considered only after actual arrival. A private vehicle gives control over agreed stops, not a guaranteed driving time.
DAY7Kathmandu temples and heritageKathmandu · Overnight stop
Discuss Pashupatinath, Boudhanath and Swayambhunath as a workable selection rather than an unlimited checklist. Temple access and photography restrictions apply. Ask which tickets, guide services and local transfers are included. Leave time for meals and regrouping, especially where different members of the party have different walking or temple-access needs.
PashupatinathTemple access rules and darshan queues apply.
BoudhanathStupa precinct and a considerate walk around the site.
SwayambhunathHilltop shrine area; discuss steps and walking needs.Place previews help you plan. Only visits expressly stated in your confirmed itinerary are included.
DAY8Kathmandu to GorakhpurTour ends · Departure day
Keep the final day for the return road journey and border formalities. Confirm the drop location before purchasing an onward connection. If the railway or flight timing leaves little margin, add a separately priced Gorakhpur night. The itinerary end date describes the programme, not a promise of an exact arrival hour.

Your stay & the journey between places
Choose the rooming and transport around the people travelling. Photographs below are planning references from our supplied collection; your booking names the actual arrangements.

- Upgrade options

Transport matched to your group

What to ask about accommodation before payment
Request hotel names or the agreed selection basis, room category, occupancy, meal count and any extra-bed charge. Check whether early check-in, late checkout, heating or air-conditioning, hot water and Wi-Fi are included where you need them. Facilities vary by property and overnight location.
For a family, list adults and child ages with the rooms you require. For friends, choose twin, double or triple arrangements explicitly. A room photograph alone does not establish the allocated category, view or number of beds.
What to ask about the vehicle and access
Confirm passenger seating, luggage space, the pickup and final drop, operating hours and sightseeing scope. A through vehicle may stop at a parking area rather than a temple entrance, old-city lane or hill viewpoint. Ask whether the last section requires walking, a local shuttle or a different vehicle.
Keep optional outings separate from the base programme. A new stop can add waiting, distance, tickets or an overnight change. Request an updated route and total price rather than relying on a verbal addition to the original itinerary.
Inclusions & exclusions
This is a private proposal. Final inclusions and charges must be confirmed in your written quotation.

About your departure place
Gorakhpur · arrival, pickup and onward travel
Gorakhpur is the joining point for the published Nepal group and the starting point for the Nepal road proposals shown here. The meeting point is confirmed with your booking; a rail or airport arrival is not automatically the group pickup. Leave time to collect luggage, reach the meeting point and deal with a delayed incoming connection. An arrival night can be added separately where needed.
Keep the pickup contact and written meeting instructions accessible. Tell the desk about changes to your arrival. Read the practical planning guide →
About the places you’ll visit
LumbiniPlace guide & practical planning+
Lumbini is a pilgrimage destination with a clear purpose: the birthplace of the Buddha. The Maya Devi sacred area and Ashoka pillar give the visit its historical focus, while the wider monastic landscape invites a slower pace. It can feature in a Nepal holiday or a dedicated India–Nepal Buddhist circuit, but those two visits need different amounts of time.

ChitwanPlace guide & practical planning+
Chitwan brings the lowland landscape into a Nepal holiday. The decision is not simply whether to put Chitwan on the route, but whether you have time for the activity you are visiting for. A short stay near Sauraha can provide a quieter evening; a wildlife-focused visit needs a planned activity window and an honest account of the extra costs.
Explore Chitwan →
PokharaPlace guide & practical planning+
Pokhara suits travellers who want some space in their Nepal itinerary: time beside Phewa Lake, a less hurried evening and a choice between sightseeing and outdoor activities. It is a useful base for a family holiday, a couple's trip or a longer journey towards the Annapurna region. A lake view and a mountain view are different promises; mountain visibility always depends on the weather.

KathmanduPlace guide & practical planning+
Kathmandu is the part of a Nepal road trip where the journey changes pace: courtyards, busy streets, temple queues and living neighbourhoods take over from the highway. Choose it for heritage and pilgrimage, particularly when Pashupatinath is central to your plans. It works best with a full sightseeing day between arrival and departure rather than a quick overnight stop.

Tour details & practical planning
01More time in Lumbini and Chitwan changes the experience
Compared with the six-day group, this private route allocates additional time to the earlier stops.
Compared with the six-day group, this private route allocates additional time to the earlier stops. A dedicated Lumbini stay allows a more considered visit, while more time near Chitwan makes a separately arranged activity easier to discuss. It still includes long transfer days between the main bases.
Choose the Chitwan activity you actually want before accepting its price; a hotel night does not specify a safari. Tell the desk whether you prefer a guided monastery visit, time for prayer or independent exploration in Lumbini. These choices give the additional nights a purpose.
02What the extra two nights change
The six-day route has one Chitwan night and no dedicated Lumbini overnight.
The six-day route has one Chitwan night and no dedicated Lumbini overnight. This version adds a Lumbini stay and a second Chitwan night. The difference is usable time at those stops, not simply a longer list of attractions. Travellers primarily interested in Pokhara can instead choose the focused five-day programme.
03Separate wildlife activities from the basic road budget
Ask for the exact Chitwan activity, operator, pickup, duration and charge to be listed.
Ask for the exact Chitwan activity, operator, pickup, duration and charge to be listed. Accommodation near Chitwan does not itself include a park excursion. Keep a non-activity alternative in mind for members of the party who do not want the same outing.
04Choose this route for a measured touring pace
There are still substantial transfer days between the overnight bases.
There are still substantial transfer days between the overnight bases. Seven nights provide room at the stops, but do not remove traffic or border uncertainty. Explain any practical assistance or seating requirements before accepting the proposal.
05Rooms, meals and the group-size budget
The figures below are provisional adult planning allowances for standard twin-sharing rooms, breakfast and private road transport.
The figures below are provisional adult planning allowances for standard twin-sharing rooms, breakfast and private road transport. A smaller party carries a larger vehicle share per person. Exact properties, vehicle category, taxes and any guiding service require a dated quotation before payment.
Ask for every overnight location and the proposed bedding. Children, single rooms, extra beds, activity tickets and unlisted meals are priced separately unless included in writing. A website enquiry does not hold a vehicle, room or seat.
06Payment, changes and cancellation
Request the payment schedule and supplier cancellation conditions with the final quotation.
Request the payment schedule and supplier cancellation conditions with the final quotation. The published Nepal fixed-departure cancellation table is not automatically the policy for this private proposal. Keep the written itinerary, service list and acknowledgement together.
If you want to change a stop or add a night, do it before confirming onward transport. Extra vehicle days and hotel nights can change the total, and unused booked services may carry supplier charges. Material changes should be agreed in writing.
