Your nights, stops & travel days
How to read this route before booking
Read the overnight sequence alongside the day-wise plan. A city appearing in the route may be a visit or transfer stop rather than an additional hotel night. The detailed itinerary explains what is scheduled on each day.
Share your arrival and onward departure times before confirming. Ask which visits remain practical around your connections, where the vehicle drops you and whether local shuttles, guides or activities cost extra.
Package prices by group size
14 days / 13 nights; Kathmandu start; twin sharing; provisional land budget per adult for four paying adults. Flights, visas and unlisted activities excluded.
| Adults | Per adult | Party estimate |
|---|---|---|
| 4 adults | US$1,090 | US$4,360 |
What is this estimate based on?
The figures are planning allowances, not a supplier contract or a claim that another operator sells this exact itinerary. Hotel and vehicle choices, travel dates and occupancy can change the final price. Child rates, single rooms, tickets, unlisted meals and extra services are separate unless expressly included.
Planning budget reviewed 14 October 2026. This is a provisional Trishna land-service allowance, not a confirmed supplier fare. Ask for a dated quotation for 2, 4, 6 or more travellers; we do not invent automatic group discounts.

Private itinerary proposal: final services, conditions and the overnight plan are confirmed in writing.
DAY1Arrive in KathmanduKathmandu · Overnight stop
Arrive at the agreed Kathmandu pickup, settle into the hotel and review the route with the operating team. Check luggage, documents and the service list. No trek departure is assumed immediately after a late international arrival.
DAY2Kathmandu to PokharaPokhara · Overnight stop
Use the day for the stated transfer or city preparation. Confirm the actual road or flight arrangement and baggage conditions. Keep the evening flexible and review the next section with the guide; delays must not be solved by removing essential mountain time.
DAY3Pokhara approach and GhandrukGhandruk · Overnight stop
This day changes from city access to village travel. Confirm the actual vehicle endpoint and the final walking section before leaving Pokhara. Keep the essentials in your day bag rather than relying on immediate access to the main luggage. Ghandruk is the overnight destination, not a quick stop before an additional high trail stage.
Phewa LakeLakeside time; boating is separately confirmed.
SarangkotOptional sunrise viewpoint; views depend on weather.
PumdikotOptional hilltop Shiva visit; confirm access and transport.
Ghandruk villageGurung village setting; road endpoint and walking vary.Place previews help you plan. Only visits expressly stated in your confirmed itinerary are included.
DAY4Ghandruk to ChhomrongChhomrong · Overnight stop
Leave time to settle into the rhythm of successive walking days. The route continues towards Chhomrong; the important booking detail is the full walking programme and overnight arrangement, rather than a promise based on the shortest distance on a map. Review the next valley stages with the guide after arrival.
Place previews help you plan. Only visits expressly stated in your confirmed itinerary are included.
DAY5Chhomrong to BambooBamboo · Overnight stop
This stage continues into the sanctuary approach. Pack for a trail day rather than a city sightseeing transfer, and keep rain protection accessible. Confirm the lodge stop and meal arrangements with the guide before departure. An apparently modest distance does not describe the effort of repeated ascent and descent.
DAY6Bamboo to DeuraliDeurali · Overnight stop
The onward stage moves the itinerary closer to the higher sanctuary section. Keep the walking day focused on the agreed trail and lodge destination. Do not add an unscheduled side outing to make up for a missed photograph earlier in the trip. The guide reviews whether conditions and progress support the next stage.
DAY7Deurali to Annapurna Base CampAnnapurna Base Camp · Overnight stop
This is the proposed base-camp stage, subject to the operating team’s assessment. Keep the photographic objective separate from the decision about whether to proceed and where to sleep. The quotation should explain how a revised overnight affects the return programme. Reaching the named objective is not guaranteed by purchasing the package.
DAY8Return towards BambooBamboo · Overnight stop
The return is still a full trail day, even though the headline objective is behind you. Pack before the agreed start and allow time for the descent and breaks. Do not book an onward vehicle around an optimistic arrival estimate. The guide confirms the actual lodge stop as the party progresses.
DAY9Bamboo towards JhinuJhinu area · Overnight stop
This day moves the itinerary towards its exit rather than ending the trek immediately. Confirm the chosen overnight and next morning’s pickup arrangement. An additional local activity is optional and depends on time and operating conditions; it is not included merely because the route passes the area.
DAY10Trail exit and PokharaPokhara · Overnight stop
Use the day for the stated transfer or city preparation. Confirm the actual road or flight arrangement and baggage conditions. Keep the evening flexible and review the next section with the guide; delays must not be solved by removing essential mountain time.
DAY11Pokhara recovery dayPokhara · Overnight stop
Keep this as a genuinely lighter day after the walking programme. Laundry, repacking and an easy Lakeside outing may be more useful than a long sightseeing circuit. If you want a paid activity, arrange it separately after checking the transfer plan for the following day. The itinerary does not depend on filling every hour.
DAY12Return to KathmanduKathmandu · Overnight stop
Use the day for the stated transfer or city preparation. Confirm the actual road or flight arrangement and baggage conditions. Keep the evening flexible and review the next section with the guide; delays must not be solved by removing essential mountain time.
DAY13Kathmandu buffer and heritage optionKathmandu · Overnight stop
This Kathmandu night separates the mountain journey from the final international departure. A heritage visit can be discussed if the return has operated as planned. Keep the time available for necessary adjustments first, rather than selling a non-refundable excursion that removes the value of the buffer.
PashupatinathTemple access rules and darshan queues apply.
BoudhanathStupa precinct and a considerate walk around the site.
SwayambhunathHilltop shrine area; discuss steps and walking needs.Place previews help you plan. Only visits expressly stated in your confirmed itinerary are included.
DAY14Kathmandu departureTour ends · Departure day
Transfer for the actual international departure or finish at the agreed city drop. Any extra nights or onward services are separately confirmed. The programme should have sufficient margin between the mountain return and this connection.

City stays, trail lodges & support
City hotels and trail lodges serve different needs. Check facilities and support for each overnight stop.

Trail lodge expectations
Check room sharing, bathroom access, hot-water charges and power availability. A trail lodge does not have the same facilities as your city hotel.
- Trail nights
- Lodge meals
- Personal extras

City hotel nights
Separate Kathmandu and Pokhara hotel nights from the trail programme. Confirm the room category and meals around your arrival and departure.
- City rooms
- Arrival timing
- Extra nights

Transfers, guides & baggage
Ask for the operating guide, porter arrangement, baggage allowance, road transfers and any separately quoted flights. Match support to the actual walking programme.
- Guide support
- Baggage plan
- Road transfers
What to ask about accommodation before payment
Request hotel names or the agreed selection basis, room category, occupancy, meal count and any extra-bed charge. Check whether early check-in, late checkout, heating or air-conditioning, hot water and Wi-Fi are included where you need them. Facilities vary by property and overnight location.
For a family, list adults and child ages with the rooms you require. For friends, choose twin, double or triple arrangements explicitly. A room photograph alone does not establish the allocated category, view or number of beds.
What to ask about the vehicle and access
Confirm passenger seating, luggage space, the pickup and final drop, operating hours and sightseeing scope. A through vehicle may stop at a parking area rather than a temple entrance, old-city lane or hill viewpoint. Ask whether the last section requires walking, a local shuttle or a different vehicle.
Keep optional outings separate from the base programme. A new stop can add waiting, distance, tickets or an overnight change. Request an updated route and total price rather than relying on a verbal addition to the original itinerary.
Inclusions & exclusions
This is a private proposal. Final inclusions and charges must be confirmed in your written quotation.

Pickup, arrival and your onward connection
This proposal begins at the agreed Kathmandu pickup. Send your actual flight, train or local arrival details before fixing the first day. A city name does not include every outlying pickup or an automatic connection from India.
Confirm reporting, luggage, hotel check-in and final drop. Extra nights, onward travel and changes to the joining point need a revised quotation.
About the places you’ll visit
KathmanduPlace guide & practical planning+
Kathmandu is the part of a Nepal road trip where the journey changes pace: courtyards, busy streets, temple queues and living neighbourhoods take over from the highway. Choose it for heritage and pilgrimage, particularly when Pashupatinath is central to your plans. It works best with a full sightseeing day between arrival and departure rather than a quick overnight stop.

PokharaPlace guide & practical planning+
Pokhara suits travellers who want some space in their Nepal itinerary: time beside Phewa Lake, a less hurried evening and a choice between sightseeing and outdoor activities. It is a useful base for a family holiday, a couple's trip or a longer journey towards the Annapurna region. A lake view and a mountain view are different promises; mountain visibility always depends on the weather.

Tour details & practical planning
01Why this route is different
A fourteen-day guided trek proposal with Kathmandu arrival, Pokhara access, a staged Annapurna Sanctuary walking route and return buffers.
A fourteen-day guided trek proposal with Kathmandu arrival, Pokhara access, a staged Annapurna Sanctuary walking route and return buffers. The objective and overnight progression must be assessed by the licensed Nepal operating team.
This is a private route proposal, not a scheduled group with reserved hotels. The overnight sequence explains what the duration buys. Use the day-wise plan to identify the main transfer days and the usable visiting time. If the first arrival or last departure is late or early, ask for the itinerary to be revised instead of assuming the same visits still fit.
02Hotels, guiding and transport: settle the detail before payment
The written proposal should identify room occupancy, hotel selection basis, meal counts and the vehicle or trail-support arrangement.
The written proposal should identify room occupancy, hotel selection basis, meal counts and the vehicle or trail-support arrangement. A place named in the route does not automatically include an entrance ticket, activity or dedicated guide. Ask about walking, luggage and any vehicle change before choosing the lowest headline budget.
For a couple, a family with children or a larger party, the final price is recalculated from the actual rooming and service plan. Do not multiply the four-adult planning estimate and assume it confirms a vehicle or lodge. The booking summary must identify mandatory taxes, extras and the payment currency.
03Indian and international trekkers: documents and permits are separate questions
Indian nationals should carry the accepted original travel document for their journey; Nepal visa exemption does not remove trekking permit requirements.
Indian nationals should carry the accepted original travel document for their journey; Nepal visa exemption does not remove trekking permit requirements. Other nationalities must check Nepal visa eligibility and the conditions applying to their passport. A resident of India travelling on a foreign passport should not use the Indian-citizen checklist.
The Nepal Tourism Board lists the relevant Annapurna routes under its licensed-guide and agency-issued TIMS provision. Its published TIMS categories are NPR1,000 for SAARC and NPR2,000 for other applicants. The NTNC permit portal lists Annapurna conservation entry at NPR1,000 for SAARC and NPR3,000 for other foreign nationals. Confirm eligibility, current implementation and what is included with the operating trekking agency before payment.
04How to assess a trekking quotation
Count the trail days separately from Kathmandu and Pokhara nights.
Count the trail days separately from Kathmandu and Pokhara nights. Compare road transfers with domestic flights, city meals with trail meals, guide and porter ratios, baggage allowance, permit handling and room basis. A low price can describe a shorter service window rather than a better value version of the same trek.
USD website budgets are provisional. Your quote should state whether settlement is in USD, INR or another currency and how any conversion is handled. Single supplements, hot showers, charging, drinking water arrangements, tips and extra nights need clear treatment. Do not assume a trail lodge will provide the privacy, heating or bathroom facilities of a city hotel.
05Pace, weather and turning around
A trek is not a sightseeing vehicle itinerary with optional walking.
A trek is not a sightseeing vehicle itinerary with optional walking. Discuss recent walking experience, consecutive-day endurance and the planned ascent with the qualified operating team. Seek appropriate medical advice for personal health or altitude concerns. No itinerary can promise that every traveller will reach the advertised objective.
The guide may need to shorten a day, change an overnight stop or turn the group around. Agree how such decisions affect unused services and additional nights. Do not book the international flight immediately after a weather-sensitive mountain return. Confirm insurance covers the actual activity, altitude and any rescue arrangements you may require; do not assume a general holiday policy does so.
06Accommodation and respectful trail conduct
Keep expectations realistic about lodge rooms, bathrooms, menus and electricity.
Keep expectations realistic about lodge rooms, bathrooms, menus and electricity. Plan a manageable bag and confirm the porter arrangement instead of arriving with several large suitcases. Request dietary needs in advance, but recognise the limitations of supplies along the trail.
Stay with the agreed route, respect local guidance and avoid unsafe positions for photographs. Carry waste to the appropriate disposal point and ask before photographing local people or entering private spaces. A guide’s role includes route and group management; hiring one is not a promise that weather, trail or health risks disappear.
07Best time to visit Nepal: choose for the journey, not just the weather
For a first road holiday, autumn and spring are practical starting points for the discussion.
For a first road holiday, autumn and spring are practical starting points for the discussion. Autumn can offer clearer mountain views after the rains; spring brings warmer days and a different feel in the hills. Neither season guarantees a visible Annapurna range on the morning you visit Pokhara. Build the holiday around places you will enjoy even when the peaks are hidden: lakeside walks, heritage, food, temples and time together. A sunrise outing is a weather-dependent addition, not the only reason for staying in a city.
Winter can suit a lower-altitude Kathmandu, Pokhara and Lumbini circuit if you are comfortable with cool mornings and evenings. Ask about room heating rather than assuming a standard hotel supplies it. Chitwan and the Terai have a different climate from mountain villages. A warm afternoon in one place says little about the next overnight stop. Monsoon travel needs more flexibility around road disruption, wet paths and visibility. For mountain routes, request a route-specific assessment instead of using a city-holiday calendar.
Dashain, Tihar and other festival periods may change staffing, traffic, opening arrangements and room availability. The attraction of seeing a celebration must be balanced against transport and crowd management. Before paying, ask which date-sensitive visits are actually planned and whether the hotels have been checked. If your dates are fixed by school holidays or leave approval, begin with a robust itinerary for that period rather than a promise of ideal weather.
08Booking, payments, amendments and cancellation
Send the travel dates, adult count, child ages, room arrangement, arrival details and must-see places in one enquiry.
Send the travel dates, adult count, child ages, room arrangement, arrival details and must-see places in one enquiry. The next step should be a written route, price and service scope. Confirm hotel selection basis, transport, meals, tickets, guiding and what remains optional. Do not send passport numbers through a general website form; use the secure document process agreed for the actual booking.
The published Nepal group requires 50% advance, with the balance due on departure day before leaving. Private tours and treks follow the payment milestones in their individual quotation. Airline tickets, permits and supplier deposits may have different commitments. Pay only to the confirmed business payment instructions and retain the receipt and booking acknowledgement. A WhatsApp enquiry alone does not reserve a seat.
Read the cancellation schedule before paying, including whether the charge is calculated on the full package or the advance. Ask how separately purchased flights, permits, single rooms and last-minute changes are treated. Request cancellation or amendments in writing and keep acknowledgement. Weather or road disruption may require a revised plan; discuss the extra-night and alternative-transport policy before departure rather than when an unexpected cost arises.

Your booking questions, answered
Is the displayed price a confirmed offer?
It is a provisional planning budget for the stated party and room basis. Obtain a dated written quotation before paying; no hotel, permit or transport availability is promised by this page.
Can the route start on our chosen date?
Request your dates and actual arrival details. The travel desk checks the proposed operation and overnight arrangements before confirming.
Are flights and visas included?
No. They are separate unless expressly itemised. Indian and foreign travellers have different entry requirements.
Can we change the number of nights?
Yes, ask for a revised itinerary. Removing a night changes usable visiting time and may make a road or mountain section unsuitable.
What happens if weather or road conditions change?
The accepted quote should state the alternative-route, extra-night and cancellation arrangements. Do not assume an optional excursion or mountain objective is guaranteed.
How do we book?
Send dates, travellers, rooming and arrival details. Review the written scope, total amount, payment milestones and cancellation conditions before payment.
